Dane Bawcom’s Fight Against Cancer

Dane Bawcom is a 42 year old man from Montrose, AR that was just diagnosed with colon cancer.  When Dane found out he had cancer he was hospitalized for a few days and upon returning home his wife of 9 years, Dawn Bawcom, passed away in her sleep in their home.  Dane's battle against cancer has just begun and he just recieved his first chemo treatment.  As with most chemo treatments, they are leaving Dane aching, tired and in pain.  Dane is trying his best to keep working every day through his treatments but is physically unable to do so.  He has to make very frequent trips to the bathroom, is very weak and has already lost significant muscle mass.    

Dane now lives in Monticello, AR which is a 3 hour round trip to UAMS in Little Rock, AR for his appointments and chemo treatment.  The funds will be used for transportation back and forth , to help pay bills and provide healthy meals.  As the treatments progress he may be unable to work at all.

Dane was an instructor at John 3:16 Ministries for 12 years.  This wasn't a job he did for money it was to help save mens lives from alcohol and drug addiction.  For 12 years he selflessley & succesfully dedicated his life to this mission by putting others before hisself.  He received the cancer diagnosis only a month after he left the Ministry to start a new life with his beautiful wife Dawn.  Dane has been a mentor to over 1000 men at John 3:16 Ministries, including myself, and touched the lives of countless others.  If you've ever dealt with drug addiction it's not only the person addicted but usually 10-15 family members that suffer as well.  Dane has been an inspiration to all the men's families.  

This situation is very urgent, Dane is battling for his life against cancer and he needs all the help and prayers he can get.
