DandD Legal Expenses

My name is Megan Elliott, and I am a Lutheran pastor in Texas. Last summer we took our church youth group on a service trip in the Rio Grande Valley. While there, I became connected with an organization that provides shelter to folks seeking asylum in the United States. Through my connection to them, I brought a mother and her son to live with me while they go through the asylum process. 

Since October, D and her 4-year-old son D (names kept confidential because their case involves sensitive circumstances pertaining to their safety) have become part of mi familia. Due to previous asylum status in another country, their case is complicated and challenging. We have visited several pro-bono legal organizations trying to find legal assistance, but haven't found anyone willing to take the case for free. We did, however, find a lawyer willing to take this on: only we are going to need to raise some funds to cover legal costs. The lawyer we found was at the recommendation of a pro-bono law clinic through UT, and she has worked on complicated cases before.

I've come to love D and D in the time we've spent together, and I want to give them the BEST possible chance to live here legally and without fear. Would you be willing to consider giving towards the legal fees? Any bit will help. Thank you for considering!
