Dancing for Amor Classroom

Motherhood made me realize a lack of recognition of the value of every individual in our dominant culture and educational system. Because of that realization, I became interested in studying human talent and education. Creating consciousness about recognizing the value of every human being became my cause.
I started Amor Classroom, a traveling classroom teaching lessons about human diversity and talent, with a cousin in 2019. We developed the workshop "Human Brain, Environment and Community" and traveled to Bocachica, an impoverished town near Cartagena, in Colombia, to teach it. In this workshop, we discussed our diversity and the interdependence between each other and our environment.
In 2021, we made the animated short film"Todos Estamos Conectados" (We Are All Connected); this past summer, we brought the "Coral Reef Classroom" to Bocachica. In this classroom, we explored how we are related to the coral reef and the importance of taking care of it. It's been an incredible journey in which we've seen the positive impact of our message on the children.
We want to keep doing this work! That's why I decided to celebrate my birthday this year by fundraising for our classroom. I invite you to join me for two hours of dancing and to support Amor Classroom while we celebrate another year of my life together.
