Dancethon for connectivity

We learnt during the COVID-19 pandemic that human contact is invaluable.  Friendships, family and a community nurture and help us to be at our best in times of hardship. We learnt that if it wasn’t for the technology we would struggle to go to work, study, pay bills, access doctors, learn language, read newspapers, books, keep in touch with a family and friends.

There are people in Gloucester city that do not have a luxury of connectivity. 

We would like to help 34 asylum seekers houses to have internet. We are starting with £1000, but we hope to raise enough money for half a year. Garas got funding in place for first half a year. 

We are inviting people to do Dancethon as in marathon. We need 63000 steps to complete the challenge. Dance, walk or run and post the step count with a dance video or without on World Cafe in Gloucester Facebook.  This is a fun way to get the whole city involved to do something for others while looking after our own physical and mental health. Go on and do it! 

Please help us to connect people with beloved ones, to improve their living and mental health conditions by providing an access to language learning sites,  NHS, friends and family.
