New Mexico Dance Project Aims to Present

New Mexico Dance Project aims to become one of the leading presenters of emerging dance artists and dance related events in Northern New Mexico. As part of NMDPs “Phase II” initiative, the Santa Fe based performance company, lead by Scarlett Wynne and Erik Sampson, plans to become active presenter of dance-related events in the northern New Mexico Region by providing supporting materials for emerging artists as well as access to specific annual events that will be produced throughout the regular performance season (August 1 to May 30). In Phase II, NMDP will obtain the necessary equipment and materials needed to produce pop-up style installations and concert performances. Equipment and materials will include a touring floor (sprung floor and Marley surface), a small bank of lighting instruments for installations and supplemental lighting in current performance venues, as well as a portable PA system. These resources will enable the company to produce unique dance events for the public that will broaden the reach of concert performances.
