Dance Fundraiser: Wicklow Educate Together School

How did I end up entering the "Strictly Dance" contest organised by Wicklow Educate Together National School?
It went a little like this...
I moved to a small town called Ashford in County Wicklow back in May 2018, after leaving my corporate job of 15 years and becoming self-employed.
In October 2018, I attended the National Women's Enterprise Day in Powerscourt Gardens where I met Sinéad, a fabulous entrepreneur based in Ashford who, as it turned out, has 2 kids who go to Wicklow Educate Together National School.
At the start of 2019, Sinéad contacted me, starting with "I know you love dancing...". She knew how to seal the deal.
There was no arm twisting needed. I do love dancing, I know nothing about ballroom dancing but I like to try any form of dance. I haven't taught or danced flamenco in over 3 years, so now was a good time to get back into expressing myself through dance...
And more importantly I want to support my local community in any way I can.
All funds raised during this campaign go to Wicklow Educate Together National School.
When does the dancing start?
Starting on Tuesday 12th February, and for the following 6 weeks, I will attend a 3-hour dance practice at the school and learn a group dance and a partner dance to be performed on Saturday 30th March.
I will not know what dance or partner I am assigned until February 24th when we all find out at a little party that you are all invited to attend. Details below!
