Hi! My name is Rachel, and my friend Sarah and I are organizing and fundraising for the event "Dance For Your Neighbor". The idea for this event came out of feelings of anger regarding immigration enforcement's abuse of power while we've watched them terrorize our community. It's easy to feel hopeless, but important to stay hopeful and support our community through these times.

Dance for Your Neighbor is a benefit event that says ICE OUT and brings people together in a peaceful form of protesting through dance to benefit the Vermont Asylum Assistance Project. Vermont Asylum Assistance Project (VAAP) is a legal services and technical assistance organization that exists to raise Vermont noncitizens’ awareness of and access to critical immigration legal help and support.

We are currently fundraising to cover the cost of the venue, SEABA, a local arts non-profit. Anything over our goal will be donated directly to VAAP. All proceeds for the event also go to VAAP.
