Dancing in America is a dream of many kids growing up and our two girls have a once in a life time opportunity to do just that. Both girls from Boorloo (Perth) set off on their journey in April with their mums cheering them on.

Madie a proud Noongar Badimia Martu yorga is 11 years old and has been dancing for 7 years with WA Stage School. On the 10th April Madie and Ali fly to Los Angeles with 20 other dancers plus support people. On the trip Madie will be spending 5 days at Anaheim Disneyland participating in dance workshops, street parades, performing on stage and going on as many rides as she possibly can. After Disneyland they are off to Hollywood where Madie will be performing at a Citadel Shopping Mall, participating in more dance workshops and get to perform on Universal Studios City Walk stage.

Sonny-Maree is a proud Whadjuk Noongar and Yamitji Koolinga. Her Cheerleading club, Extreme Cheer Allstars, will be travelling to Orlando, Florida to compete at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in April/May 2025. She will be competing in two teams, the Junior Level 1 team 'Ignite' at The Finals and the Junior Level 2 team 'Lady Lava' at The Summit Championships. Sonny-Maree has been a competitive cheerleader from the age of 6, and now at the age of 13, she will be competing for the second time internationally, competing in Hawaii in January 2024.

Both girls are extremely excited to take their talents overseas and represent themselves, their dance schools, families and culture with pride.

This dream comes at a significant financial cost with each family responsible for paying approximately $20,000 for the once in a lifetime opportunity. Wanting our girls to see what the world has to offer the single mums immediately said yes! With less than two months until it all happens we are hoping community can help us get there. Any money raised will be split evenly between the two families. Every cent donated is greatly appreciated and we can’t thank you enough for helping us give our girls memories that will last a lifetime!
