Dana Trimble is representing TEAM USA

Hello Friends,

Many of you already know Dana Trimble and can go back as far as elementary school with her. She has brought extraordinary joy and laughter to many of us. Dana has been an avid paddler for over two decades. We have shared many paddles, and one thing has always stood out to me, she is solid and fast. Dana left her hometown of Chattanooga, TN, and moved to Sarasota, Florida, in October of 2021, for a career change. She has always loved the ocean, and this move brought her closer to the things she loved the most paddling and water.

Dana attended a Dragon Boat Meet-Up group to meet new friends and try a new paddling style. Six months later, she joined, the Nathan Benderson Park dragon boat paddling crew. Dana attended a beginner class and graduated to competition practices. With the guidance of an amazing head coach, mentors, and crew, she furthered her passion and skills and advanced to training for the Worlds Competition, where the team won GOLD. This win was the pivoting moment that Dana Trimble knew she wanted to go further with her dream as an athlete and started training for Team USA in September of 2022. In May 2023, she qualified for the USA Team for Women and Mixed Boats!! Our beloved Dana Trimble is going to Thailand to represent the USA in the World Dragon Boat Racing Championship!! She will be competing with several other countries!!
