Dan Jordan's Family

Donation protected
On January 29th my brother-in-law, Dan Jordan, passed away from a cardiac arrest while playing hockey with his friends. He was 56 years old. For those who don’t already know Dan, you should know that he was a kind, humble and uplifting person, who reached the hearts of all he came in contact with. Dan had more friends than anyone I know, some of them life-long, but his best friends were his family. He was a Graphic Design teacher at Blue Hills Regional High school for over 20 years. He was also a coach for Soccer and Lacrosse, all of which he absolutely loved. Dan was regarded with such love and respect by his colleagues and students. The many lives he touched and the impact he had on others, was evident by the number of people who attended his services. If everyone lived by the standards that Dan held, this world would be an amazing place, but never boring because he definitely knew how to have fun. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, he enjoyed nature, hiking, rollerblading and all sports. It is safe to say that Dan lived his life to the fullest, albeit way too short. I have never heard a bad word spoken of Dan and that is a testament to how he treated everyone who was lucky enough to know him.

While there is little we can do to help Dan’s family through the emotional difficulties they are experiencing, I feel we can help with the financial struggles that can often accompany families that are blindsided with the sudden loss of a family member and are now reliant on less income to try and pay funeral expenses, maintain a home, college loans and just the day-to-day expenses that are hard for so many people.

There is no doubt that many of you have already given generously in Dan’s honor, including the family’s request for the scholarship in his name at Blue Hills.  All of which his family is very grateful. I am asking that you once again consider donating in Dan’s memory, this time to help support his family. There is no donation that is too small and any amount you give will be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to donate at this time, please keep Dan and his family in your prayers.

Thank you in advance.
