Damo & Bronte's Honeymoon in Mexico

Hi, to all of Damo's amazing mates, friends and family. I am Maria Heard, Dame's Aunty. Those of us who know and love Dame, have spent the large part of this year watching helplessly as he undergoes treatment after treatment and being in and out of hospital fighting cancer and kicking its ass!!!
I couldn’t be more proud of my amazing nephew who has rarely faltered in inspiring us with his incredibly strong, positive and heartening attitude throughout this arduous journey.
Earlier this year many friends and family attended Dame’s survival party, except low and behold it ended up being a surprise wedding!!!! Those in attendance will never forget the all encompassing love that filled the air, not to mention the flood of tears that filled the back yard, witnessing the exchange of vows between Dame and the beautiful Bronts. WOW! What an unforgettable night!!!!
Dame and Bronts have hardly been able to work this year and right now Dame is undergoing 9 weeks of gruelling chemo treatment. Might I add thought, that during all this treatment and stress Dame was able to raise thousands of dollars for the Cancer Council thanks to the support of many friends and family. The Cancer council even phoned Dame personally whilst he was sitting having chemo one day, thanking him personally for his amazing fund-raising effort. They were shocked at the amount of money raised in a short 24 hours.
Sitting back and feeling like you’re doing nothing to help Dame is hard to stomach. So my family has decided to propose an idea that we hope all his amazing friends and family, who have shown such support all year, get on board with.
Firstly, it must be said that Dame had no input into this idea whatsoever but I did have to approach him first and didn’t want to go ahead without his permission. Naturally he wasn’t keen as he is just too damn nice to accept financial assistance from anyone. Initially I wanted to put on a fun fundraiser afternoon but Dames immunity levels would prevent him from attending which wouldn’t be much fun.
Anyway he has reluctantly agreed!
So what we have is a GO Fund Me for “DAME AND BRONT’S HONEYMOON IN MEXICO” Woo Hoo!!!!
I know Dame and Bronts are overwhelmed with the love and support they have received from their huge network of family and friends during this hard year.
Dame is doing it tough during this gruelling round of chemo and when he is well and recovered in a couple of months how awesome will it be when he and Bronts can sail off into the sunset on the honeymoon of their dreams!
Let’s make it happen!!!! We all love Dame so much and even the smallest of donations to this exciting cause will provide so much joy to one so deserving!
