Damien Catron medical expenses

Donation protected
In 2015 my son Damien had constant excruciating pain throughout his right thigh forcing multiple visits to the ER. The cause of the pain was not found even after multiple x-rays, procedures and specialist consultations. He was placed on prescription pain medication handled via a pain management specialist.  The medication prescriptions had only short term results and the continuation of medication forced Damien's employer to terminate his employment.

Through the many visits to the ER and by circumstance an X-ray taken in July of 2016 showed a tumor on his right kidney.  The biopsy result was cancer. The top portion of the kidney was removed. We hoped that this was the cause of Damien's pain but unfortunetly; this was not the case.

Still in pain and trying to cope with that pain the best he can with the aid of pain medication, we come to February 2017 in which a specialist diagnosed the issue as nerve pain coming from the groin area requiring another surgical procedure to strip the nerve from the groin area. Within two weeks of the surgery the pain returned and Damien was then sent to an orthopedic surgeon. This surgeon conducted an MRI of Damien's spine. That doctor sent him to a spinal specialist who informed Damien that he had a tumor located on his spine.

This test result requires bone scans and an MRI with contrast agent to see if the tumor is attached to the spine, muscle, nerve or bone. Test are pending.

I think it goes without saying that not only has this been an excruciating, painful and terrifying ordeal for Damien to go through but it has created an unbearable financial burden on the entire family. After losing his employment due to the daily medications needed in order to deal with the pain, the Catron family is now down to one income. Damien's wife Hope is doing all she can to support Damien through this ordeal but even her insurance does not cover all the expenses that have amassed. This family is now looking at $70,000.00 in unpaid medical bills with more test and eventual surgeries to follow.

If you can find it in your heart to help this young family of five, please  donate what you can and share and pass this post along to other friends and family members. All prayers are welcome as well.
