My name is Sam Koon. I am a musician based out of Atlanta, Georgia. My calling and purpose in life has always been to entertain and move people emotionally through the power of music. It's the gift I was given by God!
To give you a background of my experience: I have performed as an opening act for artists such as Montgomery Gentry, Confederate Railroad, The Cadillac Three, Laura Bell Bundy and more. I've also performed on side stages alongside artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Def Leppard, KISS, Jason Mraz, Phish, Journey, Montley Crue, Poison, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Slightly Stupid, and 311. In addition, I had the priviledge to sing The National Anthem at Turner Field before the Atlanta Braves took the field, which you will see in the video below!
Recently I have locked arms with a close friend of mine who is a renowned producer and songwriter, Dan Hannon. Dan has written and produced albums for many Christian, Rock, and Country artists that have achieved great success. Amongst those artists, one of their albums was named "Album of the Decade" on the Billboard Charts (Aaron Schust). As a husband and a father of two boys, Dan is a man of great character and integrity; he has been a mentor for me in the past few years. He truly believes in me and my abilities as an artist!
As many of you may know, I am a new Dad with new wonderful responsibilities. I also have a very real dream to make a name for myself in the music business, which is one of the toughest industries to get into. There are people that want the spot light, the fame, and the glory. Let me just tell you, I do music because I believe in it, I bleed it, and I breathe it. I do it because I absolutely live for it and want to have the opportunity to move people emotionally and spiritually on a larger scale! And I have the gift to do just that! I want to have the power to give people hope that they CAN do great things in the face of adversity and achieve their dreams! I want to look my son in the eye and be proof that there's reasons to always believe in yourself.
In order to push my album and future career changes forward with Dan Hannon, I am raising funds for anyone that wants to be involved with the making of this amazing project! Everyone that is involved with the funding of this project will be acknowledged in the "special thanks" part of the album cover.
I have poured my life into music and any contributions are greatly appreciated. But at the very least, click the video below and see what Dan and I have been working on.
