Damashata "Miss D" Washington became a U-Jam Family Member in 2010. Meeting her in the very back row at Parkmoor 24Hr Fitness on the first day, she slowly worked her way to the front row of the class after a while...then...eventually, the stage, where she lit up like a full moon. Behind the this tall and ambitious woman was an honest heart to love, give and help, whenever the opporunity presented itself. If someone needed a ride, she was there to help. If someone was ill, she was there for them. For any world disasters, Miss D was the first to put together huge packages to ship off. We knew miss D as not having much, but giving everything she had and knew to those less fortunate or in need. She participated in an annual blanket drive for the homeless and started involving the U-Jam Nation to help. She started her own bracelet business, making cool-looking bling bracelets for U-Jam, Warriors, Niners, Raiders, Giants and A's. She was a very bright and organized individual (take a look at her Facebook pics and albums) who served the Lord to the fullest. We will miss her smile, laughs, stories and heart. She was a huge part of the U-Jam Family.

This Go Fund Me is to help Damashata's family with funeral services, and to help family members attend from far away and food/drinks for Damashata's Celebration of Life. We have a good community with loved ones and our U-Jam Family. When a community works together, we can help each other and those suffering/grieving. With a lot of participation, a little is needed from each.

Damashata's Celebration of Live is being scheduled for Sunday, 10/22, with a private, family service at a later date.
