Adrian's Kidney transplant journey

Hi, This is Adrian's mom Damaris (Dee). I want to share my son's story with you to give you an insight of who he is and what he is going through as an individual and as a family. He was born with several disabilities. He is Autistic, has Chronic Seizures and is Non-Verbal along with Kidney failure. He was also born with left partial kidney damage due to urinary reflex. He was admitted in 2009 at Miller's Children's Hospital where the journey began, Before  then, he was stable with little to know problems with his Kidneys, as he was getting older his Kidney function started to decline rapidly. From this point we were referred over to CHLA  and had been seen by the Nephrology team there where I found it to be reapetitive with no new options. We were then referred over to CHOC where I was starting to feel comfortable and we were starting to get somewhere, until his lab results came back and showed his current level of kidney function which turned out to be 12%. His Doctor @ CHOC had informed me that if it would fall less than what he had informed me (15%) we would have to discuss other options.  Unfortunately because of this he needed dialysis, which their dialysis center was  was not contracted through our insurance. Although, CCS had approved them and were going to pay, they denied us. I was given other hospitals to go to for the dialysis, I chose Loma Linda. Since November of 2014 at Loma Linda we saw a nutrionist, had lab work done, received information to start dialysis, kidney transplant,  or to let him proceed with no treatment.  We started to do weekly labs and every two weeks follow-up visits.  In December I met with the surgeon to discuss the kidney transplant option treatment.  I left there feeling hopeless because he kept on referring to Adrian's disabilities as to why it would be difficult to perform surgery on him.  At that point, I became discouraged on filling out the paperwork for a kidney donor since they were already putting road blocks on the situation.  On January 15th,  we had to decide on a protocol for a 911 emergency situation.  First was to resuscitate him, second was to insert a airway tube to open up his lungs and place him on a breathing machine, third was not to do anything  and let him take his last breath and go peacefully.  On the 19th, we saw the Urologist and we went ahead and inserted a catheter to drain the urine back up which was causing the inflammation in his kidneys.  As to date, I received a call from the kidney transplant center informing me by phone that the Nephrology team came to the conclusion that they had denied to perform the surgery for the kidney transplant.  So my options are to search for another team that would perform the surgery, causing us to go back to square one. 
In conclusion this journey has been a very difficult one and very strenuous for my family.  As I keep searching for more options to save my sons life, I am in need of others to help with the mounting expenses I am facing.  I am a single mom of four kids, ranging from 10 to 18.   I am not able to work because of the constant care for Adrian's condition.  So money is very tight.  Please help in any way possible, even a small amount helps.  God bless.
