Dalton Wienecke's Recovery

My name is Haley, I live in Vancouver, WA.  As you may know, my brother Dalton, along with 4 others were involved in a near-fatal car accident Sunday March 18th, not far from where he lives in Paia, Hawaii. Dalton’s left arm was pinned under the vehicle where he lost an excessive amount of blood.  Had it not been for the quick thinking of his friends, Dillon and Jordon, to tourniquet his arm, Dalton would have lost his life that night.  Dalton was then taken by ambulance to undergo emergency surgery to save his arm. 

On Tuesday, after a second surgery and low blood cell levels, he required a blood transfusion. His condition improved afterwards, and news that this second surgery was successful confirmed that Dalton would keep his arm. On Friday, he is scheduled to have another surgery to use donated tissue to cover the exposed main artery in his arm. It is determined that he will then need 3 to 4 more surgeries as they will use his own skin for a skin grafting surgery. We pray every day that everything will go well. 

Any donations would be greatly appreciated and will be used to help offset all costs not covered by insurance.  This would include short term living expenses while he is not able to work, as well as costs associated to the accident.

I will try to keep everyone updated as I receive more information on his condition.
