Dalila The Neighborhood Ice Cream Lady

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I ask our humble community of Lincoln Heights to come together and help a local ice cream woman out. If you've lived in the Lincoln Heights area in the past 30 years, you may know who she is. Her name is Dalila.

On December 5, 2020, after a slow night of ice cream sales, her ice cream van stopped and failed to turn on.  A few attempts of trying to get it started were made with no success. Smoke arose from the engine and immediately the flames followed.

Due to the cold weather, sales have dropped drastically and car insurance could not be paid. She lost it all including the small amount of money she made that day.

I have no clue what it costs to be in the business of ice cream but I'm sure the van alone is a lot of money. We all know times are hard right now with the COVID-19 going on, but anything helps. I have set this GoFundMe account in hopes that we can come together as a community and raise at least $5,000 for her to get started back up again.

If there is any other way you can help out, Please let me know.
(Suggestions are also kindly accepted)

Thank you all for your time and consideration
