Helping Dale through Cancer

Former Chula Vista firefighter, followed his 2nd career to Northern California testing cell phone sites and is self-employed. Dale is currently in a battle for his life with colon cancer and because of his chemo treatments making him sick he has not been able to work and has had to be admitted to the hospital a few times already. Being self-employed if he doesn’t work there is no income. Following chemo treatment Dale has become very ill with C-Diff twice and has been hospitalized both times. C-Diff is a serious hospital bacterial infection, and only two types of antibiotics can be used to combat it. He’s become very thin and at about 5 ft 11 he now weighs 121 lbs.

Dale’s Family would love to get him back into San Diego to help care for him but the cancer costs have left him and his wife with nothing left. It is our hope to rent a moving company to get him from San Jose to San Diego and move him in with his sister so they can share the cost of living and have his family around to help him.

 We would also like to help with the cost of his medicines as they are so expensive. Currently he is using a compound pharmacy to help with the cost of one of the drugs he’s taking, the cost has gone from $600 to  $50 just by using a pharmacy that mixes the medication instead of a brand name medicine.
