Nov 3, 2013 @ CTCA renal faliure, last breath 3:55pm

Nov 1, 2013 Kidneys failing, suffered Siezure at 12:30 pm, never regained consciousness. With Tracy and Doctor, Family being called to bedside. Weight 169.

Oct 29, 2013 Fluids and nutrients continue. Blood transfusion today, along with radium injection.

Oct 26, 2013 @ CTCA. Admitted to hospital. Severly dehydrated. Dry Kidneys. PSA 94+. Blood calcium over the top. Good news no pain, XOFIGO* radium doing its job. Weight 163.

Oct 1, 2013 @ CTCA. XOFIGO* has arrived! Radium 223* will be
injected this afternoon after 3 hours of hydration. Still vomiting, meet pain mgmt docs again to reevaluate.

Sept 30, 2013 @ CTCA. Cause for vomiting still a mystery.
Doing EDG this morning, and MRI this afternoon. Hope to rule
out any cancer in stomach to head. Later appts with pain mgmt
to adjust pain meds.

Sept 27, 2013 @ CTCA. Lots of appointments scheduled.
Gastro', Pain Management, Physial Therapy, Radiology...
Weight down to 184.3

Sept 18, 2013 @ home. Received new cancer meds, Cometriq.
Thyroid treatment recently approved for metastatic prostate cancer. Pain, Nausea, and vomiting continue. Still waiting on Aetna precert' board to approve Xofigo, radation therapy tohelp with pain.

Sept 6, 2013 @ CTCA Done with Jevtana. Bloodwork reveals bad levels and chemo not working. New plan being developed. Weight down to 193.8

Aug 17, 2013 @ CTCA Cycle 2 of Jevtana. Weight gain 201.2
Continued management of nausea, which seems to worsen after 2 weeks of chem treatment.

July 29, 2013 @ CTCA Cycle One of second attempt with a new chemo. (Jevtana) Weight gain 196.4

July 26, 2013 @ CTCA. Weight down to 193.1. Results of Bone Scan/CT scan/MRI indicate increased disease in lumbar spine and both hips. Pain and nausea being managed. Will meet with doc again on mon 7/29 to review scans to determine next course of treatment.

July 2013 @ CTCA Cycle 3 of chemo. Weight down to 195.6, not good news. Visit with nutritionist to help with healthy weight gain. Pain at a mininum. Massage, physical, and dog therapy help to keep spirits high.

June 2013 @ CTCA for 2nd round of chemo, once a month for a few days at a time. Pain continues. Med's doing work some, but no relief until at rest or sleeping. Weight up slightly 203.3

May 2013 @ CTCA Cancer has worsened even though on oral cancer meds. Start Chemo~Taxotere 5/21/13. In lots of bone pain all over, especially back, hip, rib cage, and sternum. Continued weight loss 200.5 lbs

May 2013 @ CTCA 15 treatments of Tomotherapy radiation to the bone above eye. Suffering side effects that go along with it. Under pain management care and physical therapy. Weight loss continues, now down to 208.

April 2013 At home til mid month, and then back to CTCA for
radiation on the bone above the eye. Will continue other therapies while he is there.

March 2013 Dale in treatment @ CTCA and is staying in Tulsa. Currently recieving radiation, physical, accupuncture, and nutrition therapy.

Feb 2013 Dale will meet with Cancer Treatments of America, Tulsa (CTCA) to check out other options before trying any more new treatments. We are looking forward to meeting the great people there, and learning more about the disease, and the options.

Dale was originally diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in Feb 2008. In Feb 2012 test results and body scan confirmed that the cancer had spread to the bones. Monthly visits to the doctor continue, with bone scans and mri's. Most of the med's are experimental and not completely covered by insurance. Dale continues the new treatments, before chemo, and hormone therapy.

Dale was hopeful to the end that the treatments would prolong his life to see his son, Josh marry the love of his life, Erika in April 2014.    His second grandbaby GIRL arrived 10/29/13 Kelsie to proud Mama & Daddy, Jessica/Matt!   Dale has 3 children, Josh, Jessica, Jordan, and granddaughter Mackenzie 3yrs old. Dale also 2 inherited sons, Robert & Chad, and along with son in law, Matt. He has a great support system, including his mom Edye Brookshire & sister Janine Immler, along with numerous friends, extended family, and AAFES coworkers.
Dale's wife Tracy along with their dog Maddy currently reside in Midlothian Texas.
