Hello all! FIRST Team 3637, The Daleks, a high school robotics team from Flemington, NJ, have qualified for the FIRST World Championships for the second time in their history this year!
After winning both the Engineering Inspiration and Chairman’s Awards at two separate Mid-Atlantic Region District Competitions, the team went on to be one of two teams to win the Engineering Inspiration Award at Mid-Atlantic Region District Championships at Lehigh University, on April 7th. We are proud to represent the Mid-Atlantic Region and to compete once again for the award at Worlds and are thankful for the $5,000 paid bid sponsored by NASA awarded to District Championship Engineering Inspiration Award winners and will cover our entry fee for the competition.
As Worlds begins April 25th, the team has been scrambling to prepare for the competition. However, with such a late qualification and with less than 3 weeks to prepare all the plans, we are finding ourselves in need of additional funds to cover travel costs being incurred by our team. Our goal is to raise $10,000 as we continue on our journey to spread our enthusiasm as we live out our motto “Foster STEM Locally, Make a Difference Globally.”
