Dale's stroke recovery treatment

Dale Snelling had a stroke July 2017 which left him unable to speak clearly and without the use of his right arm and leg. He was in NKC Hospital for over 2 months, moved to a rehab facility for a month, and then had 2 more months of out-patient rehabilitation therapy. When the insurance benefit ran out, the therapy program ended. At that time, Dale had regained speech and could walk short distances with the assistance of a cane, but he had little use of his right arm and his right leg was very weak.
He has continued to work towards recovery by going to the YMCA 3 days a week and we are seeing gradual improvement in his physical strength. He can walk longer distances with a cane and is slowly gaining strength in his right arm. He has been living with his daughters, but wants to move to a senior living community in NKC so as not to be a burden on his girls. In order to do that, he needs to be a little more independently mobile.
Recently, we have learned about hyperbaric oxygen therapy. http://www.hbot.com/faq#1 HBOT is a medical treatment which enhances the body's natural healing process by inhalation of 100% oxygen in a total body chamber, where atmospheric pressure is increased and controlled. This therapy is successfully treating an assortment of ailments which are covered by insurance and studies are underway to add more illnesses to that list. Stroke has not been approved by insurance yet, but is being successfully treated through this therapy. We have visited the facility and are encouraged that this will give him the boost he needs to continue to improve. We are hopeful that he will eventually get around without the use of a wheelchair.
Dale served in the Army for 4 years during the Vietnam Era, and was stationed in Germany for most of his tour. His active duty was followed by 3 years in the Army Reserves. Years later he re-enlisted for another 3 years in the Army Reserves. His reserve was activated for the Gulf War and he spent 6 months in Saudi Arabia. The VA takes care of most of his medical needs, but they won't pay for this treatment.
For full benefit, the recommended length of treatment is 40 sessions and each session is $125 which comes to $5000. Dale has no savings left. Our family with combined funds can't put a dent in it, so we are asking for help. Anything you can give will be appreciated and every little bit helps. Please share.
