Dale Munger -- Accident Relief

My brother (DALE MUNGER), as a pedestrian, was struck by a car while crossing E. Washington Avenue in Madison, WI on the evening of November 17, 2017,  He was taken to UW Hospital with 3 broken bones in his left leg, 6 broken ribs, an injured shoulder, along with internal injuries.  He was admitted and remained there as an Inpatient for four (4) weeks, first in the ICU then later in a Step-Down unit,  During his stay he had five surgeries along with active Respiratory, Physical and Occupational Therapy.  Upon discharge, he was transferred to a Nursing Home for additional Physical and Occupational Rehabilitation.
          The ultimated liability for the accident is still in doubt.  Nonetheless, there has been noted gaps in his employer health insurance.  He also will have to overcome loss of wages and inadequacies in his Short Term Disability benefits.  There already have been disputes on allowed prices and medical need for specific treatments etc.  Although many issues are still to be resolved, in the end there wll be substantial medical and personal expenses Dale will be liable for before he will can return to work.
          Anyone knowing Dale, realizes he is one of the most caring, compassionate and nondemanding persons anyone will ever know.  Now he needs the help of friends, family and any other caring individuals to defray his Medical Expenses, loss of wages, and other expenses so he can someday return to his employment with some sense of normality.   Thank you for your support.
