She has been with me through thick and thin over these past 9 years. She is loving, fiesty, silly and kind. She is family and I love her with all my heart. This whole situation has left me heartbroken.
2 days ago I noticed her walking funny and not moving around as much. Over the course of the 2 days the growth became so enlarged she could not move or be touched. She would yelp and cry in pain.
I immediately took her to the vet and he told me she needs to have emergency surgery to have the growth removed or I have to put her down. I paid the vet this last visit and gave right down to last penny what I had left. She needed anti biotics and pain meds while she awaits surgery. At this moment she is comfortable on the meds but time is running out.
The estimate I was given was for the emergency surgery is $2,000. The Vet treating her is Newark Veterinary Hospital by Dr. Ehren Yablon.
I am extrememly heartbroken and it kills me to see her in pain. She is my best friend and I want to make sure she has a fighting chance.
We are very greatful for any help and will update along the way as we know more information.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We are forever greatful for any help.
