DaKota's Medical Costs

After a weeklong stay in the hospital, we found out why DaKota has been sick since November 21st. DaKota requested that I inform family and friends that he has been diagnosed with cancer. His type is highly curable. We have a journey ahead of us that the doctor said will feel like a roller coaster. DaKota will not be returning to school. Our lives will now consist of doctors appointments, hospital stays and chemotherapy treatments.

My son is my role model. The way that he has dealt with all of this with such strength and resilience is admirable.

We greatly appreciate everyone who has provided us with emotional support as we learned of and began processing all of this.

We are thankful for my parents who have taken care of Elisa literally at last minutes notice. They have taken her to school then bought her to the hospital every night and for my brother who has called and texts endlessly to check on and uplift us.

We are so very thankful for EVERY doctor, and lord knows there have been plenty, who worked on my baby’s case. Every nurse, every nursing assistant, every one.

Please pray for our son. He is the reason I am the that woman that I am. Providing him with the absolute best motivated me from day one.
