Dakotas Brain Surgery Funding

Much of you know my sister Dakota has made the difficult decisions o finally have brain surgery after 2 years of contemplating and enduring the symptoms of her disease. Dakota was diagnosed with a Chiari Malformation with a syrinx  2 years ago after months of testing. Chiair malformation is a condition  where your brain expands into your spinal canal compressing your brainstem which leads to symptoms such as;  severe headache, neck pain, dizziness, poor coordination, balance issues and blurred vision and many more, those are the symptoms Dakota deals with on a weekly basis.  Unfortunately medical management  did not work due to a serious  allergic reaction to the medication she was unable to continue.  Dakota has had to get MRIs every 6 months to make sure her syrinx is not getting worse, in the last  6 months she has had an increase in symptoms and change in her status causing her to continue with the surgery schedule for November 6, 2018.  She will spend a few days in the NEURO ICU before moving to a medical surgical unit for a few days before going home. Its a very invasive surgery where they remove part of the posterior  skull and sew a fake dura matter( material that protects the brain) then possibly a  titanium plate to where they removed her skull. Im hoping to help her out as she will be out of work for awhile and will have to pay her mortgage, medical copays, and school. She's always been there for her friends so lets help her out in her time of need. Our family would appreciate it. Love you all!
