Dakota Fortier's New Van

Please meet Dakota Fortier who is a 12-year-old boy. He suffers from Two Rare Disorders and they are Congenital Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy and Congenital DiGeorge Syndrome. With these Rare Disorders, it accompanies many ailments such as low immune system, ASD whole in heart, mild scoliosis, Bleeding Disorder, unable to speak (only signs), Pdd-Autism, Polymicrogyria, and Deteriorating muscles.
With this he is in a wheelchair and we use a Hoyer lift to get him in and out of his bed. He also just got a stander which he needs to become use too it. He also uses a walker. Dakota loves to be on the go and loves the outdoors. He’s a typical boy who loves cars, trucks and wrestling. He is also a part of the Band Of Heroes which he enjoys helping in holding their sign and goes in parades etc... In the winter he is A MDA Local Ambassador for CT you can follow him at https://www.facebook.com/DakotaFortiersAdventures/ which last year we raised over $6,000.00 and in the Summer he loves to attend Channel 3 Kids Camp where he enjoys tremendously.
Dakota needs a new van with all the trips and medical care. We were donated last year a van that however is not suitable for his needs and cannot be converted. It is outdated and chasey is dropped and we have tank under van that is covered by a hallow frame. We can’t go over bumps or steep inclines etc…please help Dakota with funding for a newer used van that is acceptable.
