Dakota Armstrong

Dakota Armstrong was arrested earlier this week for having a BB gun/ Airsoft gun. These guns are 100% legal, non-lethal and are designed to be used for fun. However, Dakota was charged with pointing a firearm a another person, because he was holding his gun while he was in a car and another car driving near him spotted it and called the police. Now he is facing two felony charges and can face up to 20 years in prison if he receives the maximum penalty.

These charges are absurd. The prosecutors are doing everything in their power to keep Dakota locked up. He has been given a $20,000 bail—a ridiculous amount. Dakota comes from a good family and is a good kid. Before this he had never been arrested before or been in trouble with the law and was attending the University of Central Oklahoma. He played on the football and basketball team and had good grades. He had a bright future. Now he is facing two felony charges, which have the potential to ruin his life. Dakota is just a kid, he does not deserve this.
