Helping Dakota Stay in Australia

G'day Friends, Family, and People of the Internet, 

My name is Dakota Fisher and I am currently living in Australia. I am on a 1 year work-holiday visa which sadly ends in September. In order to stay in the country (and with my girlfriend), I need to apply for a De-Facto Visa (Subclass 801). The visa costs $7000 up front. This is where I need your help.

First, a bit about why I'm here. 

I moved to Australia because I met the love of my life whilst living in Brooklyn. We met by chance on a rooftop. Two wondering bodies from opposite ends of the earth who happened to lock eyes. I told her my favorite pirate joke. It was only a week after the laughing subsided that I made her my girlfriend. The following year in New York was marvelous. We became best friends. When reality kicked in and it was time for her to go back to the land down under, she definitely 100% said to me and I quote  "Dakota please don't leave me, come with me to Australia. Your biceps are so strong, you have the abs of Brad, the brains of Matt Damon, and every single one of your jokes is spot on! Americans rule" I knew she was the one for me, right then and there. Without any hesitation I followed her to Australia, and never looked back. 

Living here has taught me a lot about myself-
I have a full beard now! I know how to order a beer without saying any legitamate words. I've learned how to be a better person. It was just the other week I witnessed a shirtless man feeding a pair of kookaburras strips of bacon at 10 in the morning. Why? Because of the inherent generosity born into every Australian bloke. Did you know that the Australian winter started and ended in the time it took you to read this paragraph? That cricket is best played at 6 in the morning after a night of 40 beers? It turns out that if you play rugby in Australia you have a strange ogre-type body that is ridiculousy disproportionate to an average athlete.  I also plan on getting a southern cross tattoo, right above my heart.....for Australia. 

Please help me stay. $7000 is a lot of money to raise alone at such short notice. 

Either that or I go back to New York with an impossibly long distance relationship and not a meat pie in sight. 

Jokes aside.

This year in Australia has meant a lot to me. I have made friends for life, and memories to match. I have been extremely productive, and made plans with friends for which I hope to fufill. I'm seeing my creativity grow and I wish to see it through. Everyone here has been widly supportive and that's what I need at this time in my life. 

All  donated money will go directly towards this obnoxious De-Facto Visa fee.
