Hello everyone, my name is Daisy Bautista. On April 2, 2025, my car was towed during school hours. I was leaving my 4th period classroom and heading to my high school's back parking lot to take off for my lunch break. I headed to the spot where I was parked since the morning and realized my car was gone. I began to panic, thinking someone had stolen it, until I was told a car was towed. Thinking of all the expenses had me very stressed out due to the fact that I pay for everything on my own.
Our campus officer told me I had “illegal” tags after I had just gotten a permit from the DMV saying I was allowed to drive to school and back home, which I was, so nothing was illegal. I will not just be paying the expenses of the tow truck; I will be paying for my car having to stay overnight at the impound due to the fact that the officer at FPD told me I needed to get my tags in order to take out my car, which will cost around $600 for the overnight stay and another $250 for my release paper at the FPD. Anything would truly help me out for this misunderstanding that was not my fault but has already happened instead of being heard out & understood that I was already in the process of getting my tags. Thank you so much.
