Daisy Gomez was a loving widowed mother of two, Corina Gomez (25) and Volunteer firefighter Diego Gomez (19). She has been on an ongoing battle with ovarian cancer over the past two years. The cancer was treatable and she was reacting well to different procedure that were done. This passed month however, the cancer spread to different parts of the body and she couldn't fight anymore. On Sunday May 19th around the early hours of 4 A.M., she lost her battle with cancer.
Daisy Gomez had single handily raised her two beautiful children after the death of their father on April 25th 2007, Retired NYPD Detective and United states army veteran Julio Gomez. Daisy worked day and night to provide care for her family and never hesitated to keep a smile on Corina and Diego face. She was able to make sure her kids were able to live their lives to the fullest and got them both through college.
Unfortunately, when the cancer came back this last time most of the families savings had been depleted due to medical bills and now the cost of the funeral expenses which is roughly $12,000. This is left on her two children Corina and Diego Gomez. We kindly ask for the assistance of the community to help get this family through tough times. Thank You
