Hello everyone,
First, I just want to thank you for taking the time to look at our GoFundMe page. As some of you know, in July, we got the shocking and terrifying news that my dad, Scott Anderson, was diagnosed with throat cancer; and since he's always been there for me, I want to do everything I can to help him during this difficult time of need.
My dad's treatment plan involves an aggressive combination of Radiation therapy and Chemotherapy which is tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-September. However, before he can begin treatment, he needs to get quite a bit of dental work done to minimize the chance of infection from the Chemo.
Though my dad does have medical insurance, as most of you know, between high deductibles, co-payments, and coverage limits, the out-of-pocket expenses for something like this are extremely exorbitant. For example, the dental work alone is going to cost our family around $10,000. Beyond that, the medical insurance deductible is over $3,000, and that's not even taking into account co-payments after it has been reached.
I hope you would agree with me that my dad is a caring, loving, and empathetic person who does what he can to better the community and help those in need. For example, he's been a volunteer youth soccer coach for my little sister's AYSO teams for several years, as well as an assistant coach for my teams when I used to play youth basketball. My dad is my hero, best friend, and mentor and I can't imagine my life without him. It would mean the world to me and my family if you would consider making a contribution to his cancer treatment fund - any size donation is greatly appreciated!
