Dad's Final Costs & AFSP Donations
Donation protected
On June 15th, the world lost an amazing soul. My dad, Jimmy Seaboyer, was a wonderful father, son, and partner that made everyone smile and always put others' needs before his own. Sadly, my dad had some demons that he never shared and lots of pain that he hid from his loved ones. When he took his own life it was a terrible shock and unspeakable loss that no one should have to experience. As I begin to process and heal, I'm inspired to take action to fight what is becoming a national epidemic.
Half of your donation will help ease the burden of the final expenses associated with his passing, the other half will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This national charity works to understand and prevent suicide by supporting research looking at the causes of suicide, helping those who have suicidal thoughts or those who have lost someone to suicide, and working with federal and state government on policies to prevent suicide and care for those at risk. Various sources have listed it as one of the mental health charities that has the most impact and where your dollars will be put to good use. It has received high ratings for extremely high levels of accountability and transparency for donors, how well they have sustained their programs, and the high percentage of their revenue spent on programs and services rather than administrative or fundraising costs.
I know that this is a lofty goal and completely understand if you're not in a position to donate at this time. Any donation, large or small, is appreciated <3
