Lauren's Ongoing Medical Care Fund

My daughter Lauren Dobbe aged 14 has been diagnosed with Gastroparesis after lots of tests and investigation and some in stays in hospital.  She was managing on Fortisp supplements / puréed food for about a year as eating food was difficult and she was often sick. The condition means that she has delayed gastric emptying, she feels sick and is in pain 24/7 but in May this year Lauren deteriorated further and was unable to even tolerate the Fortisip supplements and was even bringing up water nothing would stay down.  She was again admitted to hospital and had a NJ Feeding Tube fitted. The Specialist recommended us to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford for a consultation with a Specialist on the potential to have a Gastric Stimulator (pacemaker) fitted which although will not cure the condition it will help with some of the symptoms and be able to help her get back to eating food normally again and stop the sickness.

We are having difficulty in obtaining funding and this operation is needed for Lauren as at present she can not live a normal life she is on a feeding tube 24/7 gets tired very quickly feels sick and in pain all the time, does not see her friends, she needs this to try and get back to a normal teenage life and so she can grow to be a young lady.

We would appreciated any support/help with us getting this funding amount so we can progress this ourselves. Please no matter how some amount any contribution would really be appreciated. We will need funds for now and in the future as her condition is for life so long term care will be needed once she gets the gastric pacemaker.
