Zaylee's Therapy Bike

Zaylee is a beautiful 8 year old girl who loves to play and cook, has an infectious laugh and despite her own difficulties, loves to help others.  Zaylee was born with Myelomeningocele Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.  Approximately 1 in 1000 babies are born with SB, which affects the nervous system.  Due to her spinal cord not being connected at birth, she has paralysis in most of her lower body.  Doctors said she would never walk, but Zaylee has proved them wrong and walks with the help of bracing on her lower legs.   With the restorative therapy provided by a Functional Electrical Stimulation bike, we can keep Zaylee on her feet and moving!  All proceeds will be donated to Zaylee to aid in the purchase of an FES bike.  Regular use of this apparatus will improve and restore function in her paralyzed muscles, reduce atropy and improve Zaylee's overall physical and cardiovascular health!  Join us in trying to raise a portion of the cost of this $17,000 FES bike!
