I want to introduce Marguerite Ethridge and her incredible family. Marguerite is a widow and single mom to nine incredible and wonderful children and grandmother to three. She has worked with American Airlines since 1990 and currently assists our elite Executive Platinum members with all their travel arrangements. Marguerite just been diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer.
I am a friend of the family and have created this page to do whatever I can to help this group of incredible people get through a tough time. I want to raise money for the family to help with medical costs, transportation costs, and to help keep all these bright kids in school (college, high-school middle-school)!
Meet the gang
Maylena is 36, married, and has three kids but spends a lot of her time here helping out in whatever way she can with the rest of the kids.
Corry (the person I know best in this group) is a recent honors graduate of Skidmore College with degrees in Psychology and Dance. Corry is one of my former students. I have rarely met a young person more committed to doing the work necessary to achieve their goals, and I want to do whatever I can to support him and his family in their time of need.
Chennell was about to enter her senior year at UNC-Charlotte, but has moved home to Raleigh, for the time being, so she can be a little closer to the family.
Emmett is 18 and moved into school for his freshman orientation at Appalachian State University the day Marguerite came home from the hospital.
Brandon is 17 and about to start his senior year of high school.
Adam and Misti are both sophomores in high school.
Jeremy is 13 in 8th grade, and finally
Kodee is 12 and in 7th grade!
