Smith Family Adoption - Travel Fund

We are adopting! This page is to help our family raise the money necessary to fund our two trips to South Korea that are required in the adoption process.

Adoption is an expensive process.  So far, all the appropriate legal fees and agency fees have been paid.  Now we are saving for our trips to Korea.  These trips involve court dates, visiting the agency, meeting with the social worker, and a visa appointment.  Because of how the system works, South Korea requires two trips.  It takes around 4 weeks after the court visit (first trip) to approve and process everything and allow the visa to be issued (second trip). The funds raised will help us cover airfare, hotel stay, and food for the journey. 

At this point, we have filled out all the forms, completed our home study, accepted our referral, and started the US immigration process.  Now it's time to wait for our file to process through the Korean government.  During this waiting time, we have started to decorate his room and are sending him care packages of toys and clothes.  We are ready for little Harrison to come home.
