Zenobia's Story

Ask her, and Zenobia Prejean will tell you just how proud she is to be a mother, a grandmother, and what we lovingly refer to as a Village Mother. Along with her husband, Lee, she has opened her arms and her home to so many that she considers family, whether truly related or not. As a registered nurse for 26 years she has comforted and healed us. She has fed and nurtured us. She has educated us. She has entertained us with her endless stories. Most importantly, she has loved us. It's hard to imagine how such a huge heart can fit in this little woman.

In June 2014, she was given a diagnosis that has nothing to do with her heart, but everything to do with ours. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma, a very rare bile duct cancer. It is considered to be an incurable and rapidly lethal disease unless all the tumors can be fully removed. She is currently undergoing aggressive chemotherapy to reduce the size of her massive tumor in hopes that she will be able to have the surgery she needs to remove it.



Zenobia has begun the fight of her life, and for those of you that know her, she has a lot of fight in her! Our goal in creating this page is to ease her financial burden as much as possible so she can focus 100% on her recovery. We will be posting updates & information on events to further support her on this journey.
