Dog Attacked, Needs Surgery
On the evening of August 18th, Floyd, a rescued 3 year old Pekingese/Shih Tzu mix, was unexpectedly attacked at a friend's home be their family dog in Los Angeles. The violent attack left Floyd bleeding and broken.
Floyd was immediately rushed to the Emergency Animal Centre (11730 Ventura Blvd, Studio City 91604) to find out, aside from several puncture wounds, his jaw is now broken. After spending a long night under the care of his vet, he is now heavily medicated until he sees a surgeon today. The surgeon may or may not be able to save Floyd's jaw and we will know more later this afternoon and will provide updates are they become available.
The estimated cost for Floyd's surgery is upwards of $4,000. If we all come together, we can help Floyd's medical expenses and get him back to normal. Every penny donated will go towards helping Floyd recover.
Floyd is known for being a very happy go-lucky little guy without an ounce of viciousness in his little heart. The circumstances over the attack is not totally clear however, we believe the dog that attacked him may have felt threatned by his presence alone. Please let us know if you have any questions.
