My father, Larry Wilson Jr., was recently in a motorcycle accident in Memphis, TN. A car pulled out in his path and caused my father to crash into a utlity pole. The driver of the car left the scene of the accident. Due to the Hit-And-Run, My father has suffered several injuries including 6 fractures to his spine and 1 in his neck. We are thankful he is still alive.
The doctors performed surgery to correct his spinal injuires but told the family that he would never walk again due to the damage to his spine. Being that my father is very strong, determined and has faith, we believe that anything is possible and the doctor does not determine his fate! We started to search for the best Spinal Cord Rehab Facility in the country and we found Shepherd's Center in Atlanta, GA.
The Shepherd's Center is ranked among the top 10 in the nation and it specializes in brain injuries and spinal cord rehabiliation. Marjority of the expenses for the rehab facility have been covered via Insurance.
However, the insurance does not cover his medical transportation to the facility and several other medical expenses.
