For as long as I can remember my brother Mikey has always had a heart murmur. In 2012, he was seen at Guam Memorial Hospital to see a visiting cardiologist. After completing a stress test and echocardiogram he was diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis.
Aortic stenosis is one of the most common and most serious valve disease problems. It is the narrowing of the aortic valve opening. Aortic stenosis restricts the blood flow from the left ventricle to the aorta and may also affect the pressure in the left atrium.
With that being said eventually he will have to have surgery to replace his aortic valve. Now he will be leaving to the Philippines to be seen at St.Luke’s Medical Center-Global City on November 7th, 2018. He will meet with a cardiologist, Dr. Kuizon, for a heart consultation and depending on the results he may need to undergo the surgery sooner.
To help cover the cost for room and board along with other expenses like food we are asking for any donation but most importantly for your prayers. We will keep you updated on his condition. Any donation will be greatly appreciated!
