Can you lend a hand?

For those of you who know my dad, Christian, you will know what a hard worker he is & how often he spends time helping others when they need it.  He is always there for everyone else's emergencies. So I decided that it was time others knew how badly he needs help right now, & the urgent situation he is now facing.  My dad had an on the job accident where he was working as a sub-contractor on a construction site, & in a horrifying moment his glove got caught in a skill saw & cut off 2 of his fingers, his thumb & sliced almost fully through the center of his hand.  He survived the accident after 7 hrs of surgery, weeks in the hospital, & facing many scary moments that threatend his life during that time. The Dr's were able to save & re-attach the thumb & pinky & get movement & blood flow back to most of the hand.  But not without months of what seems like hundreds of appointments, pain,  meds & loss. What makes this situation so urgent now is that  unfortunately the  company he worked for did NOT carry workman's comp insurance. He had to use his personal insurance to cover this emergency, & drain his bank account of everything to still pay all the bills while he was trying to heal & survive. He even went BACK to work while in severe pain, & should not have medically, but he had to make an income.  In an even worse twist to the story, the Contractor he worked for went bankrupt & folded the company leaving my dad jobless.  As he has tried job searching he has found no one will hire him as he has a disabled hand, currently under going therapy.  He checked into disability, as this would seem the obvious route, but of course, to continue this turn of horrific events, he was told that he wasn't on the job long enough to qualify. He is continuing to fight through all the options of possible help & assistance that is out there, but in the mean time he is now facing losing his house, & everything else. Now rent is behind & there are no more options. Not to mention meds, groceries,  etc etc. There is no where left to turn at a time like this but out to friends & family..  just maybe if we could all help join together.  Those of us that know him well would know he would for us.  And also would know how much he hates that I am even asking for help on his behalf.  It does take a village sometimes in this world, & we need that village now.  Please, if there is any amount small or large you could help with, it is directly going to his rent to save his home first. Also, if you could share this with anyone you think would help.  As his daughter I wish I could do more for him then this. It breaks my heart everyday & I find myself doing things deliberately to make him smile because I don't see it that often anymore. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
