Please Help Beau

Beau is a loving 7-year-old cocker spaniel/poodle mix who loves to dig in the holes his daddy makes while planting in the backyard, jumping onto the furniture when nobody is looking, and getting rowdy with his cocker spaniel/beagle mix sister Beta. In early August, he started acting unlike himself. It began with him not wanting to leave his bed to go outside and having trouble navigating around stairs/obstacles, but Beau's mom and dad really knew there was a problem when he stopped wanting to play and chase the ball with his fur sister. Soon, he was unable to walk straight, and eventually not at all, as his back legs gave out every time he tried to stand up. Beau's mom and dad took him to the vet several times, although it took quite a few trips to diagnose him. After a few examinations, x-rays, and finally, an MRI, Beau received his diagnosis -- a slipped disk that is pressing into his spinal cord. Beau has always been a healthy dog. His mom and dad were blindsided by all of these vet trips and tests, and the bills piled up faster than they could tackle them. After all the tests, surgery, and rehab, Beau's recovery will be a $5,500+ ordeal. Please help Beau and his family, all of whom love him very much and hate seeing him in so much pain.
