Future Medical Leader

Hello, my name is Alexis. I am a senior at Thornton Academy, 17 years old. I have been nominated to attend a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to Washington D.C and represent my high school, and state, at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders (learn more here). This gives me the opportunity to meet with Nobel Prize winners, award winning scientists and investors, leaders of medicine and Ivy League school deans. The Congress is held for three days, allowing only the top academic students to attend. I will be able to talk to college deans, and admission representives, inspiring medical leaders and surgeons, and watch a live surgery. During the live surgery I will be able to ask questions and have the lead surgeon answer while continuing with the procedure. At the end of the congress I will be awarded with a National Academy of Future Physicians Award of Excellence certificate and also be eligible to compete for a full medical school scholarship. This is an amazing opportunity and can grant me with many life changing experiences. I aspire to become a pediatric nurse and this could be my chance to make that come true. This is something I am very passionate about, please help to give me the chance to explore my field of interest. Any, and all, help is more than appreciated. :-)
