Help David ‘Taz’ Tarrant
I have known David or ‘Taz’ some 40 odd years and apart from his trusting and gentle personality and great sense of humour, one of the remarkable things about him is his ability to remain up beat and positive regardless of any dilemma, or problem surrounding him. He has never failed to share this powerful gift to any in need. David’s positive attitude has always been a pillar of support to all. Somehow, in someway, he manages to infuse his positive energy and inspire all, much to our benefit.
In March 2012 David was diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma with a tumour in his lung. This is a particularly savage form of lung cancer and the prognosis for survival is very low. Despite this devastating news he immediately channelled this fantastic positive mind-set and philosophy to combating his disease. In my opinion, that has helped him more than any drugs, chemo or radiotherapy he’s so far undertaken. He does not have medical insurance and the several rounds of treatment have drained his finances.
David is a single parent to Justin his teenage son and most recently the disease intensified with wracking pain making David unable to work to support Justin in school. The purpose here is to raise money to help David carry on his amazing fight and also support Justin to finish his schooling.
We are hoping to raise USD50,000. Any and all donations are welcome.
