Michael Yemba's Trip Fund

Michael Yemba came to the US in 2003, and currently pastors the Sudanese Church in the Garland area, a ministry that is bringing the Sudanese community together here in the metroplex.  Michael will be taking a month and a half trip back to South Sudan in an effort to help bring peace back to the young nation.  God has blessed Michael with a vast array of connections, whom he desires to see facilitate reconciliation within the government and church circles.  As you may know, despite gaining independence just three years ago, tribal conflicts have resurfaced and now pose a threat to the future of the nation.  Without the prospect of peace, the future looks grim.  It is essential to restore unity to the people of South Sudan. 

Michael’s trip is strategically geared towards providing leadership and reconciliation training for select government officials and Church leaders from around the country.  For peace to return, the nation’s leadership must spearhead this effort.  Michael’s goal is to unite and equip the individuals who have long-term access to these circles so that they may lead the charge in the name of lasting peace. 

Our goal is to fund Michael’s trip, and a year’s rent for his family here locally, so he can focus on his ministry.  $17,000 is the magic number to fully cover the expenses required for each goal.  We ask that you spend some time in prayer for Michael, South Sudan, and about partnering with us in supporting his ministry.
