TBD Cafe Start Up

PLEASE READ: I wanted to take a minute to update all of my wonderful supporters on what's happening with the the cafe. Prior to beginning this journey, I shared my vision with the owner and operators of the mama building. My brief business plan was reviewed, which included my plan for installing commercial kitchen equipment. As the construction estimate process evolved, it became evident that it was going to require changes to the building that were not in line with what mama opener and operators endorsed. This has led to the dissolving of the lease which I had previously signed. Initially, I was devastated. I felt like my dream had been squashed. But then, I came to believe that this is actually for the best and that the cafe will open, but in a different location. That location remains to be be seen. Needless to say, i am very concerned about the donations that have been collected for the opening of the mama cafe. I am humbly asking for your permission to keep the donations in order to open the cafe, whatever or wherever it will be. Rest assured that I have the money in a separate account. If the cafe ends up not happening, I will return the donations. Thanks again for your support. I will keep everyone posted. Wow! Here goes! 
So, those of you that know me know how difficult it is for me to ask for something but if I was ever to do so, it is now! But I would like to offer something in return.

Let me first start off by saying that I understand that some of you may have your opinions about a gofundme fundraisers and that is absolutely fine by me.  I do not have any expectations nor should ANY of you feel obligated to donate...I will feel no differently about you.  Having said that...

I am taking a risk  in effort to make one of my dreams a reality.  I have contracted with a local cafe will be undertaking a rather large responsibility.  I will rename the cafe, create a menu and run this bad boy as my own.  Here is where I need you.  The kitchen is bare bones with the exception of a 3 bay sink and some counter space.  I'm talking nothing else.  No silverware, cutting boards, pots, pans, stove, refrigeration, coolers, food processors, cash register...NOTHING...no plates, cups, salt shakers...not a thing!  I have a chunk of savings that I will be exhausting on purchasing what I can of these items but as I am sure you know, commercial kitchen equipment can be very expensive...not to mention the fact that I will need to get the stove vented and a gas line installed.  Then there is the the food I will need to purchase to fulfill menu orders.  My unemployment has run out as I waited for a separate opportunity to come into fruition...this opportunity has disipated with my new endeavor, not by my choice.

Cafe Summary:

TBD will be cafe/bistro contained within the MaMA building in Stone Ridge, NY. The Cafe will feature a menu of moderately priced selections influenced by different parts of the globe designed by chef and owner Kim Prottas. The cafe will also offer a grab and go section on and off premise catering services and product distribution.

Mission:
The TBD concept will be built on the success stories of the area’s many casual dining and coffee house. The TBD will provide accessible and affordable high quality, local, healthy food, grab and go and catering services to the residents and visitors. In time, The TBD will establish itself as a "destination" of choice to the residents of Stone Ridge, surrounding areas as well out of town visitors

The establishment will provide dining experience for those searching for something that is rapidly becoming popular among Hudson Valley diners.

The cafe's aim is simple. It will provide a completely sophisticated, yet casual dining and/or experience . It will be an affordable venture for patrons, one that will encourage them to return on many occasions. The menu will feature a selection of unique as well as familiar fare of the type that is infrequently found under the roof of a single dining establishment.
