Debbie Lewers-Diagnosed with Cancer

This is my second fight with cancer.  I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer back in 2011.  I did not have chemo at that time, only radiation. I fought it with the help of God and my wonderful team of Oncologists.  They were just as surprised to see me walking back through those double doors as I was this time. I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 endometrial cancer and have undergone surgery, chemotherapy and now radiation treatments to treat it. I was informed by my oncologist that there are no guarantees but they are doing everything in their power to help me recover. God is my guarantee and he ain't failed me yet!

It's something to go through...I lost my taste buds and as a result, could not eat and I Really Like Food! The weight started rapidly falling off of me and to date, I have lost a total of 52 pounds! I love sweets, cakes, cookies, ice cream and some candies but, they don't taste good at all to me.  Lost all of my hair but I know it will grow back. Lost a little of my self esteem but I know that this is not permanent either...

I am single and have three wonderful sons, all are in college.  I am having difficulties making ends meet while I am in treatment and have recently been told by my employer that they can no longer hold my job for me.
