The Trapp Family

After many struggles with his gastrointestinal health, Jonathan Trapp was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis this past spring. Due to continually worsening health he had to be placed on medical leave (with no pay). On June 2, 2014 the Trapp's welcomed their first child into the world. During what should have been the happiest time in their lives Jonathan had to be admitted into the hospital for the 1st month of his son's life. He had lost 62 pounds in aproximently 45 days and could hardly stand due to being so physicaly week. The doctors had been trying to treat his Ulcerative Colitis when he was actually suffering from a deadly infection instead. Once the doctors discovered the deadly infection Jonathan started suffering from muiltiple allergic reactions to different medications they placed him on. He was so sick that he was unable to even hold his newborn son until he was about 5 weeks old. Even at that point he was still so weak that he could not enjoy their time together. Jonathan goes above and beyond, serving in the Michigan Army National Guard, serving on the Howell Fire Department and working a full time job. This disease has forced him to be out of work for almost 3 months on top of the piling medical bills. The Trapp's are not the type to ask for a hand out but things have gotten to the point they can really use any help you can provide! Thank you so much for all of your love, support and prayers!!
