Becoming the Bionic Woman is tough!

I am in the process of 4 major surgeries - joint replacements-in the course of a year. There are things I need for the upcoming surgery that I cannot manage with my fixed income and that my insurance will not cover. I'm already facing a mountain of medical bills. I have been blessed with friends who have helped when I have asked- it's just so hard to ask- but I must. Please read the first update for a detailed explanation of what is going on...and if your heart is open, please help. I am forever humble and grateful.

I have been fighting for my life for the past 15 years as the single Mom of 3 girls. I have survived 3 rounds of Cancer, MRSA in my lungs, pneumonias, severe asthma, pulmonary embolisms, and other major health issues. But it has taken its toll.
I was diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis, or bone death, in my hips in 2010 and immediately had a bilateral hip replacement. The joints used were the metal on metal joints that have since been recalled. I was told in January that I was facing not only bilateral total knee replacements, but was also facing having both hips RE-replaced. The revisions will hopefully help with the heavy metal poisoning I am currently suffering from- in addition to the failing of both joints and constant pain. My orthopedic surgeon said that he's never had to tell someone my age they were facing **4** joint replacements in the course of a Year. I had the first knee replaced the end of January- and there were complications. While having a surgical manipulation to break up the scar tissue, the top of my tibia broke just below the new knee- forcing 7 weeks of immobilization and bed rest. Then I had to spend several weeks on a CPM machine (that insurance does not cover) to try and regain some movement in the knee which had stiffened during the immobilization.
I am overwhelmed with medical bills and things I need- and don't know where to begin to try to get them.
A fixed income leaves no room for emergencies- and we have had more than our share of them.
I have over $100,000 in medical bills in various stages of collection- as I can't pay them on disability.
Any amount will help.
