Masks for Students

Right now we are in unprecedented times. We are facing sending our kids back to school in September needing to wear face masks.  At this time, we do not believe masks will be provided for the children, or they may be given one per week. We will update this as the information comes forth. In any case, we know that won't be enough. 

With so much financial hardship, we want to alleviate the stress on families and on teachers. Also, for many kids, they may not have access to more durable cloth masks. It's our hope to raise funds to purchase both pre-made cloth masks and also supplies for the community to come together and sew masks for our youth.

Any donation will help our cause, but please consider donating $10 or more. Most kids, especially the younger ones will need at least 2-3 masks. Younger elementary kids may need more. We want to keep them safe and happy so everyone can spend more time on learning and school activities.  

We need to begin collecting funds immediately, but please come back as this will be an ongoing effort as long as the pandemic affects our lives and children need towear masks to school in order to get an education. 

This is being organized and participated in by active PTO, PTSO, teachers and other caring community members.  We will collect the masks and distribute to the schools for staff to distribute based on need/appropriate criteria.
